The eMAM Vault combines digital asset management, transcoding, and LTO library management into a secure, scalable hardware and software solution.

At the core of the system is the eMAM digital asset management software, designed to help organizations use their digital assets (videos, audio, images, and documents). The system allows users to search, manage, share, collaborate, market, and deliver content.

eMAM Vault system includes a server provided by Rorke Data Media & Entertainment division with internal storage of 36TB (32TB Usable) and the Qualstar Corp.‘s 8350 LTO robotic library with up to 75TB storage capacity and XenData Limited‘s archive software completely managed through the eMAM interface.

"Rorke Dat is proud to be a design and integration partner with Empress Media Asset Management for their eMAM Vault product line," stated Bob Herzan, VP of sales for Rorke Data’s Media and Entertainment Division. "Rorke Data, an Avnet company, employs an open architecture philosophy when designing our servers, so they are able to be used in a wide variety of Media Rich applications. Rorke Data and Empress have worked side by side for over 6 months resulting in a very impressive design, integrating Digital Asset Management, Transcoding and LTO Management into a single, secure and scalable turnkey solution."

Shaun McTernan, VP sales & business development at Empress, added: "Now with the affordably priced eMAM Vault, we can meet the needs of clients just starting to archive their media. As a turnkey system, they will need little or no IT staff to configure and setup the eMAM Vault. The system is also highly scalable, so customers can grow with the system as their needs expand or change over time."
