This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 11, 2012 at 3:04 pmNextiraOne LLC has been awarded certification as a Cisco Cloud Infrastructure Partner in Germany, reinforcing the partnership between the two companies in the data centre market.
Cisco Systems, Inc. has confirmed that NextiraOne Germany has achieved levels of competence in the integration and operation of its data centre solutions.
This certification relates to NextiraOne’s expertise in unified computing systems (UCS), including for example the M3 family, but also in MDS systems, Nexus Switches and in Wide Area Application Services (WAAS).
“This achievement is very important to us and for our customers,” commented Dr. Bernd Ruppert, CEO of NextiraOne Germany. “Both enterprises and cloud services providers can be sure with this certification that NextiraOne has the profound knowledge and expertise required to be able to implement Cisco cloud infrastructures.”
Expertise in Cloud Computing Solutions
The certification is based on Cisco’s evaluation in areas including security and networking, unified computing, storage and virtualisation. With its Smart Data Centre Strategy, NextiraOne has already developed customised cloud computing solutions for mid-sized and large enterprises.
“Our strategic approach is really beginning to pay off,” said Ruppert.
As a specialist in the convergence between IT and real time communications, NextiraOne is able to create scalable solutions that combine Cisco products with VMWare’s virtualisation platform and storage from NetApp and EMC. The portfolio ranges from the data centre infrastructure package Vblock through to cloud architectures, such as the FlexPod, as well as Smart Data Centre packages for larger enterprises and medium-sized companies.
Private, Public or Hybrid
Irrespective of which cloud computing model is chosen, from private cloud systems within an organisation, public cloud solutions with access via the Internet or a hybrid model, NextiraOne can provide the support.
“We can help an organisation in deciding which cloud architecture will be the best fit, as well as in the implementation and operation of the solution. We can also handle the transition from unified communications solution into a private cloud architecture,” said Ruppert. “Our stable partnership with the world-wide leader in communications technologies and applications also guarantees that every solution is the best fit and that our customers can take full advantage of all the available potential.”
Headquartered in Paris, NextiraOne has a direct sales and service presence in 16 countries with more than 4,300 employees across Europe, including 2,500 qualified service experts, and an annual revenue totalling around one billion euros in 2010.
