Intransa Certifies HDS

For video appliance

Intransa, Inc. has completed Select Elite OEM certification of Hitachi Adaptable Modular
Storage technologies from
Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) for use with
Intransa Video Appliance and video server platforms.

Intransa also announced that it is a new member of the Hitachi Technology
Alliance Program to create a tighter integration of its video surveillance
technologies with enterprise storage products from HDS.

"Achieving Select Elite
OEM certification status shows how the strength of Hitachi Data Systems as a
leading enterprise storage provider can translate into customer benefits,
"
said Bud Broomhead, CEO, Intransa. "By
leveraging Intransa’s universal platform capabilities, customers are able to
leverage the full power of HDS enterprise storage systems for their growing
video security needs.
"

"With Intransa’s new
certification of Hitachi Adaptable Modular Storage technologies, customers now
have a simple, easy-to-deploy approach to utilize our storage technologies
while selecting their choice from open video management software applications,
"
said Bruce Chumley, VP, Americas Strategic Alliances, HDS.
"As the video surveillance and
enterprise storage markets rapidly converge, our integrated solution delivers
video surveillance capabilities with unmatched operational efficiencies,
reliability and performance for government and commercial enterprises.
"

Intransa’s video-optimized server and appliance platforms eliminate
the challenges of untested commodity servers in the demanding, 24x7x365 world
of video surveillance. Its patented and patent-pending software
technology, services and video optimization, along with hardware
tuning, have been proven in thousands of customers’ video security
installations.

Pretesting by the Intransa Technology Labs, with 3rd party security
applications such as video management systems, video analytics, access control
and PSIM, along with standard IP, megapixel and HD cameras, helps to identify
interoperability, performance and integration challenges in advance of
installing at the customer site. OEM platform testing, such as that recently
completed by Hitachi Adaptable Modular Storage, ensures that the entire system works
together to address customer requirements from the physical security
world on enterprise IT hardware.

Intransa is also testing additional cloud and object store
technologies from HDS, including Hitachi Content Platform
(HCP) and Hitachi Data Ingestor (HDI) in a physical security application,
enabling innovative cloud-based solutions that centralize remote location and
remote office video management.

Intransa displayed its platforms integrated with Hitachi Adaptable
Modular Storage at ISC West, March 28-30, 2012, in Las
Vegas, Nevada.
