CX Introducing Real-Time Collaboration for Groups in Cloud
175GB at $25 per month
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 5, 2012 at 3:05 pmOn the heels of its Android application release, CX, Inc., in cloud storage and data file management systems, introduces a real-time collaboration feature for groups.
The feature allows CX users the ability to collaborate on documents in real-time with other users in CX groups. It also allows the ability for archived chats, instant messaging and the sharing of videos and pictures. With the new real-time collaboration feature, all group functions are on the same page-so you can do anything in the group without ever leaving the discussion.
"Our users have told us they don’t just want a document housing repository, they want a streamlined solution for working on documents and sharing large files," said Brad Robertson, CEO. "Web chats-both real-time and archived-allow for teams to work together and also work when and where they want. Sometimes, you can’t get everyone to a meeting, but with archived chats, everyone in your group can get caught up, saving precious time. This recent feature complements CX’s ever-growing list of applications that enable secure syncing, creation, consumption and collaboration of content in the cloud."
CX is designed for all users-from consumers, students, schools and small businesses, all the way up to large enterprises. Collaboration is a key area of distinction for CX. With CX, users have complete control on when and how their content is shared, whether it’s through public or private individual shares or full collaboration in teams and groups. Unlike other cloud storage companies that increase the storage used for all users with access to the same file, CX ensures storage space is only used on the account that initiated the document sharing. Additionally, CX does not limit the size or the quality of the content shared with others, and full resolution of images and videos are available to everyone in the group.
"The new CX collaboration feature is already beneficial to our team here at the office," Robertson said. "With our archive capability, there’s no need to manually catch latecomers up to important company discussions-the conversations are always stored. And outside of the office, we use Groups for recreational activities such as planning family reunions and catching up with old friends."
CX offers its customers 10GB for free and paid account options of 25GB for $4.99 a month, 50GB for $9.99 a month and 175GB for $24.99 a month.
It is a cloud company offering free groups-collaboration and real-time notification suites with the potential to add up to 1 million participants per group. CX does not charge multiple storage fees when files are shared with others. The CX real-time collaboration feature is available on all plan levels and is available to web application users, with plans to support all platforms soon.
