Todd Smathers SVP WW Ops, Exar

He will report to Louis DiNardo, the company’s president and CEO.

Todd’s proven capabilities in product and test engineering, manufacturing and general management will be welcomed assets. Together with the Exar team, we will execute our plan to scale and align resources with our market focus on power management, high performance analog mixed-signal components and data reduction products, while significantly reducing expenses."
Smathers has over 30 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal technology and product development. He served as VP of Operations at Intersil Corporation and Xicor, Incorporated, which was acquired by Intersil in 2004. Prior to joining Xicor, he was GM of the Mixed Signal Business Unit at Linear Technology Corporation where he had previously served in a variety of management and executive roles since the company’s founding in 1981.
Smathers holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Clemson University.
