VaultLogix With New Version of Internet Vault Advantage Online Backup

IV-Advantage 11.1 for hybrid backup, locally and offsite

VaultLogix LLC announced an upgrade to its online backup solution, Internet Vault Advantage (IV-Advantage) 11.1.

IV-Advantage 11.1 is a hybrid online backup solution that enables business users to backup their data both locally to storage of their choice and offsite to VaultLogix vaults.

The secure online backup service was originally introduced in 2008 and is part of the VaultLogix suite of online backup solutions that provide the ability to customize a data backup solution for each business customer that optimizes speed, availability, and offsite protection given each customer’s data, business, recovery, and budgetary needs.

IV-Advantage has improved its local backup capabilities, reducing the storage needed for customer backups and therefore allowing the customer to either reduce the amount of storage dedicated to backup, or increase the amount of data they protect at no additional storage cost. With the storage usage reduction, it has also improved in backup speed, again providing the customer the opportunity to backup more data locally within their backup window availability.

In addition, the company has added the capability for a user to restore a file backed up to the VaultLogix vault from any Web-connected mobile device, such as an iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, or Android device. The restored file could then be emailed or uploaded to its ultimate destination, or viewed directly in the device if it has the software compatible with the restored file type.

"VaultLogix consistently strives to provide more capabilities and a better user experience for our business customers," said Shane Arnold, VP Marketing and Product Management for VaultLogix. "This new release increases the opportunity for our customers to define a backup strategy that best meets their budget and recovery requirements."

The IV-Advantage 11.1, will be available to customers in late March.
