ClearDATA Partners With Comport Consulting

For cloud-based medical image storage and archiving

ClearDATA Networks, Inc., provider of cloud computing services for the healthcare industry, has partnered with Comport Consulting Corp., provider of data management and infrastructure solutions for healthcare providers, to deliver Medical Image Storage and Archiving solutions utilizing ClearDATA’s healthcare cloud platform.

Because of the increasing amounts of data created by medical imaging, hospital CIOs face significant challenges managing their PACs and clinical data storage infrastructure with predictable cost efficiency.

"ClearDATA Medical Image Storage and Archive provides an economical, vendor neutral alternative to perpetually purchasing local hard drives by providing the right amount of storage at any given time. The hospital only pays for what they use," said Brian Mitchell, VP Sales of ClearDATA. "The ClearDATA cloud network is 100% HIPAA compliant and manages data security at NIST standards, giving the client complete confidence that their data is in a facility that minimizes the risk of breach."

ClearDATA provides a secure, HIPAA Compliant cloud computing and storage platform designed for the healthcare industry. Medical Image Storage and Archiving solution is vendor neutral and works with the same technology that Comport uses to deliver Acuo Technologies’ Universal Clinical Platform (UCP3). By utilizing UCP3, Comport provides IHE DICOM routing/storage and HL7 workflow solutions that allow sharing of patient data between multiple PACS, RIS, image modalities and data formats. Comport utilizes UCP3, an image management solution which facilitates an open DICOM infrastructure for any PACS environment.

"Working with ClearDATA expands the services platform that Comport provides – a perfect complement to our Universal Clinical Platform and Medical Archive Solution," said Jack Margossian, President and CEO of Comport. "The ClearDATA solution appears as a node on the DICOM network with scalable storage. Multiple tiers of service are available, giving our clients flexible options."

The ClearDATA storage node can act as an active storage component for high availability access to online images or as an economical long-term storage location to meet HIPAA requirements for privacy and disaster recovery.

"Comport brings deep expertise in healthcare IT, especially medical imaging," adds Darin Brannan, CEO, ClearDATA. "Their knowledge of PACS, data storage and clinical workflow was important to us in establishing the relationship. We know we are delivering the next generation of storage services and it was important to find the right partner who could bring this innovative service to market with us."
