Nimble Storage has opened offices in Amsterdam and Hamburg directly covering Austria, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands.

Since the company’s official launch in Europe last October with the appointment of Philip Turner as EMEA sales director, a number of resellers have been signed up and further mid-size, driven VARs with specialist storage and virtualisation expertise will be added in all the territories as part of a highly focussed and bold two-tier channel marketing program.

Phil Turner, EMEA sales director at Nimble Storage, said: "Thanks to our innovative technology that makes high performance affordable and delivers integrated data protection in one solution, we have seen rapid growth in the US and Europe will be no different. To put in place the kind of structure that will be able to support significant and constant product demand growth we are now looking to include a distributor in our partner community to help our existing resellers develop and meet demand for our solutions."

Nimble addresses business-critical enterprise applications such as Microsoft Exchange and VDI, which demand large and growing amounts of high-performance, low-latency primary storage. Nimble’s arrays are designed from the ground up to leverage flash memory in combination with high-capacity disks. In addition, the company provides WAN-efficient replication to enables organisations of any size to have a complete and cost effective DR solution.

Nimble’s arrays can enable users across most market sectors to streamline their storage and data protection strategies while making their management easier and the overall cost lower; current customers include financial, retail and manufacturing organisations.
