Applied Innovations Offering R1Soft CDP
For Windows cloud server customers
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on January 19, 2012 at 2:52 pmApplied Innovations Corp., provider of cloud services and application hosting services on the Windows since 1999, will offer free R1Soft managed daily backups for all cloud server customers.
R1Soft is the developer of CDP, scalable and performance disk-based backup software for Windows servers in the Cloud. Applied Innovations partnered with R1Soft early in 2011 to offer CDP 3.0 Enterprise Edition to power its premium backup services.
"Offering free CDP to our cloud server customers illustrates Applied Innovations’ commitment to leveraging the Cloud to differentiate ourselves," stated Jess Coburn, founder and CEO of Applied Innovations Corp. "For our cloud customers, this delivers improved efficiency, total reliability and the utter confidence of knowing their data is totally secure and retrievable, even down to ‘bare metal’ in the case of a catastrophic data loss at the client level."
"We have always tried to offer the best backup and data protection technologies available," continued Coburn. "And R1Soft has really taken backup to a new level with CDP 3.0 Enterprise Edition, enabling us to offer enterprise-level backup capabilities to all our hosting customers."
"Although we offer CDP to all our hosting customers as a premium service, we are convinced this free value-added feature will particularly resonate with our cloud server customers."
By utilizing asynchronous replication to backup data at the block-level, R1Soft CDP 3.0 Enterprise Edition minimizes the time required for regular backups. Backup replicas are stored in CDP’s industrial strength, on-disk data repository. This repository – Disk Safe – uses on-disk journaling to provide protection of archived backup data. Data is even protected by corruption caused by power failures in the data center and crashes.
