Sans Digital Redesigned 6Gb SAS or 8Gb FC AccuRAID

Sans Digital is introducing a redesigned full line of enterprise rackmount storage solution in three different form factors: 2U-12 bay, 3U-16 bay and 4U-24 bay.

Single or redundant controller options are available with two different types of interfaces: dual channel 6Gb SAS or quad channel 8Gb FC. 

Designed for critical business environment, all models utilize backplane solution to ensure signal integrity along with hot-swappable redundant power supplies and cooling fans standard without additional cost.

AccuRAID‘s design allows customers to start with a single controller (AR212X6/AR316X6/AR424X6/AR212F8 /AR316F8/AR424F8) offering dual channel SAS or quad channel 8Gbps FC port interface along with capability to be upgraded to redundant controller setup at a later time.  

The AR212X6R/316X6R/424X6R/ AR212F8R/AR316F8R/AR424F8R come standard with redundant controllers to provide performance and zero down time. The new addition of AccuRAID models support both 6G SAS and 6G SATA hard drives and are capable of expanding its storage capacity by adding up to 6 more JBOD expansion units (AccuSTOR JBOD series), offering up to a total of 112 drives or 336TB raw capacity in a single setup. All models support hardware RAID including RAID-1, -5, 6, -10, -50 and -60 data protection against potential hard drives failures.

The AccuRAID series SAS interface models (AR212X6(R), AR316X6(R) and AR424X6(R)) allow IT administrator to provide fast data transfer rate between the host servers and its external RAID protected data storage system. The 6Gbps SAS interface is designed to provide the fastest data transfer speed between the host computer and its direct attached storage. Each controller provides dual channels of 6G SAS SFF8088 interface offering high bandwidth interface with fast data transfer rate along with support for clustering application and storage failover.

Designed to be used in a FC SAN, the AccuRAID series FC interface models (AR212X6(R), AR316X6(R) and AR424X6(R)) are suitable for high-definition video editing in a collaborative effort video editing environment. The single controller models provides dual 8Gbps FC interface while the redundant controller models provide 8 x 8Gbps FC. FC not only provides the benefits of the DAS, it can also be used as a centralized storage for multiple servers in a FC SAN or virtualization environments such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V and Citrix XGenServer for high-availability server computing and disaster recovery application.

Note: The use of SATA HDD drive with dual-controller storage model requires one 6G Bridgeboard for each SATA HDD used.
