TDS Telecom Rolls Out F-Secure Online Backup Service

F-Secure and TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS) announced a partnership to deliver F-Secure’s Online Backup service to TDS’ broadband customers in regions across the U.S. F-Secure’s Online Backup, which provides subscribers with a secure way to save, share and access their media from any device, rounds out TDS’ value-added service package which already includes F-Secure’s Internet security solution.

As digital content proliferates, personal computers and Macs are increasingly serving as storage devices for personal files, such as photos, video, documents and music. In order to ensure this data is protected in the event of a hard drive failure, disaster or other significant event, consumers need a solution for keeping these files safe.

F-Secure’s Online Backup service, which replaces Carbonite, Inc., TDS’ current online backup solution, facilitates the storing of this content in the cloud. This allows TDS subscribers to access their digital media from any device with an Internet connection. Online backup also offers unlimited storage capacity so users can have one home for all of their files, and it enables easy sharing of this content with friends and family via social media sites.
