CEO Kevin Harris announced that NFL football team Carolina Panthers
have entered into a multi-year agreement for data backup, archiving and
disaster recovery services.
"We are very excited about the new relationship and expect it to be
mutually successful and long lasting," commented Harris.
Panther’s Director of Information Technology, Jon Credit,
has wanted to deploy online backup services for the team for some time but
could not find the right solution at the right price for the team. A creative
partnership between NextVault and the Panthers granted Credit’s wishes and made
this partnership a reality. NextVault has entered into a sponsorship deal with
the team to utilize marketing and advertising services from the team while
providing NextVault’s online data backup solution for
nearly thirty servers.
NextVault EVP Bud Stoddard engineered the
partnership based on a track record with several NFL teams in
previous years. "Sports franchises
have large amounts of mission critical data and tape backup can no longer
adequately protect that data," said Stoddard.
NextVault is enthusiastic about its partnership with
the Panthers and expects to announce additional relationships with additional
professional sports franchises in the coming months.
