KineticD, in online backup and disaster recovery services for SMBs, announced executive appointments to extend its
leadership in reliable backup solutions.
The team includes
KineticD founder Rob Schenkel, promoted to vice president of operations, and
Lars I. Graefe as vice president of sales and marketing. These appointments,
effective immediately, round out the company’s executive management team and
continue to build upon momentum through new customers, strategic partnerships
and an expanded portfolio of new innovative solutions.
"We are committed
to delivering the next generation of data backup and disaster recovery
solutions," said Jamie Brenzel, CEO, KineticD. "KineticD has strengthened the team with
powerful, tested leadership to aide the company as it moves aggressively in the
market. With over a decade of experience, our clients rely on KineticD as a
leader and these new appointments will be instrumental in attaining our overall
business objectives."
Shenkel‘s promotion coincides with his recent
MBA from the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business.
His significant software design and web development experience drives
KineticD’s continuing efforts to provide powerful web interfaces and related
features that fit the changing needs of its users and ISPs. He brings extensive
experience in the development of online web-based, e-commerce and database
applications for technology-driven companies.
Rob came to KineticD with extensive experience developing online e-commerce applications
for technology-driven companies through his own firm, Robert Schenkel Consulting.
For NIAD Systems, he oversaw the web presence and the interaction model between
investors and syndication managers.
During the early stages of his career, Rob worked with a number of high-profile
organizations such as BayStreetDirect.com, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and McDonald’s
Restaurant of Canada developing database applications and other web- based technologies.
Rob holds an Honours B. Sc. in Computing and Computer Electronics from Wilfrid Laurier
University.
Graefe brings over 15 years experience in Internet and software companies to the KineticD team. His success
in leading and driving sales, managing enterprise accounts, building and
managing channels (VAR and MSP), OEM revenue, strategic alliances, technology
partnerships and developing new markets from the ground up is due to his blend
of strategic thinking, detailed understanding of technology, marketing acumen
and hands-on approaches.
Lars has had the privilege to work under the guidance of some of the most successful
entrepreneurs in the industry, both in the US and Europe. Previously, he supported
the aggressive international expansion of Qualys, a pioneer in the Software as a
Service (SaaS) model in the network security space and the leader in Vulnerability
Management. Prior to Qualys, Lars built ArcSight‘s technical partner
program and drove alliances with strategic partners like Cisco, HP, IBM, Oracle,
McAfee and Deloitte. ArcSight was acquired by HP for $1.5 Billion in 2010.
