Huawei Symantec in Storage for Media, Entertainment Industry
Clustered NAS using Oceanspace N8000, up to 15PB

"The exponential growth in the volume of data that needs to be stored, managed and retrieved is creating enormous challenges for those in the media and entertainment industry, particularly as it becomes more digital."

The Media Asset Management (MAM) storage solution is a clustered NAS system using Huawei Symantec’s new Oceanspace N8000 series and features technologies like tiered storage, disk spin-down, intelligent fan and CPU speed tuning, reducing power consumption by 40-70% and reducing operational costs.
MAM is also offers scalability up to 15PB capacity and near linear performance expansion of up to 12Gbps throughput. Its active architecture and no single point of failure or disruption provides customers with a secure data storage system.
Solution for post-productions
For post-production editing, Huawei Symantec’s Oceanspace S2600 and T-Series SAN storage systems deliver performance solutions. The Huawei Symantec Pure SSD Oceanspace Dorado accelerates performance for intensive post-production workflows.
Huawei Symantec has also jointly developed Armor, an end-to-end high-definition television (HDTV) tapeless solution with Dayang Technology Development, Inc., a developer of broadcast technology solutions covering tapeless TV workflows.
Armor is equipped to meet the requirements for both workgroup and enterprise levels and allows customers to enjoy the HD experience with an affordable investment.
In addition, Huawei Symantec has also introduced its solutions for network security and VPNs. The USG and SVN series provide unified security management for new media mass content and multi-business to protect against evolving threats such as intrusion attacks, spyware, phishing and malicious URLs.
