Virtual
Instruments, Inc. announced its partnership with VAD Zycko Ltd to expand its European outreach.
According to the agreement, Zycko will make all of Virtual Instruments’
products including VirtualWisdom,
the real-time SAN monitoring and optimisation solution, and SANInsight
Fibre-optic TAP Patch
Panel systems, which enables real-time monitoring of the physical layer,
available to its wide reseller pool.
Virtual Instruments’ solutions are vendor-independent and give customers the ability to measure and
analyse performance across the SAN infrastructure using real-time
data. This combination allows optimisation of the performance, availability, and utilisation of
SANs and virtualised infrastructures.
Zycko will become a member of the
recently announced Virtual Instruments Partner (VIP) programme. The VIP programme is designed to help channel
partners streamline sales processes, improve productivity, and attract new
business from customers implementing business-critical applications in
virtualised and private cloud environments.
Jason Tooley, VP of EMEA sales at Virtual Instruments, said:
"Zycko’s reputation for provision of
best-in-class IT products and logistics management, supported by true
value-added professional services, is a great fit for Virtual Instrument’s
requirements and will help us to continue to deliver on our expansion
programme. This announcement comes at a
critical time when VirtualWisdom is rapidly becoming an essential performance
and availability optimisation solution as more and more large enterprises
deploy virtualisation and migrate business-critical applications to private
cloud environments."
This partnership is one of the building blocks of
Virtual Instruments’ EMEA growth plan which this year also led to the vendor’s
European entry into new vertical markets with telecommunications and retail
joining financial services, manufacturing, government and healthcare. Virtual
Instruments business in EMEA more than doubled in the last fiscal year and the
company is planning for similar growth this year.
David Galton-Fenzi, Group Sales and Marketing Director at
Zycko, commented: "This
world-leading technology meets the crucial demand for optimising storage
performance and providing faster root cause analysis at a whole new level of
reliability for the user. Organisations cannot afford high profile networks
failures, costing time, money and customer business. The resilience of the
Virtual Instruments’ performance optimisation solution prevents such scenarios
in growing virtual environments, making them a true market leader."
