As rich-media file sizes continue to increase and deadlines shorten, broadcast companies are demanding an integrated solution to help decrease time-to-market and reduce media production costs. Adobe and EMC bring collaborative editing software and scalable storage technologies that deliver flexibility and choice to media and broadcast customers.
EMC Isilon offers a scalable and shared storage resource for every stage of the media workflow lifecycle. The EMC Isilon X-series is configured to work with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 video editing software, and Adobe After Effects CS5.5 software, the solution for creating sophisticated motion graphics and cinematic visual effects.
Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 enables users to edit video files in their native formats, eliminating time spent on converting files, and delivers open collaboration within design teams. EMC Isilon connects directly to Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium and provides an open storage platform for Adobe users, combining editing, near-line and deep-archive capabilities in one system. The collaboration between EMC and Adobe enables customers to purchase editing and storage technologies individually, to address growing data concerns and during- and post-production editing needs independently of each other.
"We are pleased to offer our customers a flexible, scalable, and comprehensive solution of video editing and best-in-class enterprise storage technologies that seamlessly bridge the gap between broadcast and enterprise IT," said Roger Frey, senior director of alliances and solutions marketing, EMC Isilon. "Isilon scale-out NAS enables users to quickly access the right files, and enjoy a new level of engagement with their data and real-time collaboration. Our work with Adobe provides choice and flexibility to our mutual customers, helping them reduce costs and grow revenues by reducing their time to market."
"Video editing and special effects creation are some of the most data-driven and complex processes in the fast-paced broadcast industry," said Simon Williams, head of strategic development, professional video team at Adobe. "Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects deliver unmatched flexibility in creating motion graphics, video effects, and real-time playback for video editing and reviews. EMC’s leading scale-out NAS offerings for media and broadcast companies makes them a solid partner in enabling our customers to improve productivity and efficiency in cross platform editing workflows."
