Tandberg Data Announces UK Channel Promotion

On the back of the announcement that Tandberg Data have acquired the rights to the RDX technology platform,
the company announced a UK channel programme for Q3 to
assist partners in winning new customers to the RDX platform.

Until the
end of September 2011 resellers will be able to offer their customers a free
iPad2 with every RDX QuikStation enabling customers to manage their removable
disk automation solution via the iPAD’s built in web browser. For customers
requiring a single drive RDX solution, Tandberg Data is offering a free dock
with every three pieces of media purchased.

Graham Paterson, senior vice president of EMEA for Tandberg
Data, commented: "It’s great that we have put in place these incentives to
create further momentum around the RDX platform. It’s even better that we can link in the
customer giveaway with iPad 2 Technology that can then act as the management
platform for backup devices. We hope that as many partners as possible will embrace
these offers."

Commenting on the RDX QuikStor promotion, Simon Barnard,
General Manager of Technical Sales with Micro-P, said: "This is exactly
the sort of promotion that brings real value to resellers. Being able to offer a free dock is the perfect
way to introduce end users to the RDX technology. There are still a lot of
companies out there struggling with old DAT and AIT tape drives and RDX offers
a way to upgrade and get the benefits of disk-based backup whilst keeping the
ability to remove the media for safe offsite storage."

Tandberg Data is a channel-only company that distributes its
products in the UK
through partners CMS Peripherals, Micro-P and Northamber. The company
operates a featured Partner Programme with deal protection and other
benefits for registered partners.

There are two offers running
until the end of September 2011:

• Free RDX
  QuikStor with Purchase of 3 RDX Cartridges: RDX technology is a removable disk storage format. To make it easier for customers to experience the
  benefits of RDX, the company is offering a free RDX QuikStor dock to every customer who
  purchases three Tandberg Data RDX cartridges (320GB and higher) from now until 30th
  September 2011.
• iPad 2
  with RDX QuikStation: End-users will receive an iPad 2 (16GB Wi-Fi) when they
  purchase the new Tandberg Data RDX QuikStation removable disk library and 8 RDX
  cartridges, and will be able to manage their Tandberg Data removable-disk
  automation solution via the Apple iPad built-in web Browser.
