XL Video and DVS Disk Recorders Set the Scene
For singer Herbert Groenemeyer
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 18, 2011 at 2:53 pmImpressive video installations formed the highlight of Herbert Groenemeyer’s
tour Schiffsverkehr (Shipping Traffic) which ended in late June
2011 in Konstanz, Germany.
XL Video GmbH, a company
that has been counting on DVSs Pronto disk recorders for many years now, was
responsible for designing the video walls and projecting the videos.
Seven songs were accompanied
with videos during the concert. XL Video GmbH combined its know-how
with Pronto disk recorders to project the videos. This meant XL Video needed one player to play out the high-resolution content on the five
external LED screens all without scaling it. This guaranteed the best-possible
picture quality even with large-screen projections. At the same time, the
solution proved to be cost-effective.
DVSs Pronto family is disk recorders for uncompressed, high-resolution
presentation content. Robustness, reliability as well as the ability to
synchronize them set the DVS systems apart.
"We have been using DVS
systems for many years now at important events around the globe. The Pronto
family really impressed us particularly in terms of its versatility. We needed
a player to use on the Groenemeyer tour that could play out uncompressed TIFF
sequences without scaling them. The Pronto family allows content to be played
out pixel-perfect even on unusual-format LED screens," explains Christian
Heinzel, Technical Project Manager at XL Video GmbH.
Michael Bauer, Sales Director Region DACH at
DVS: "We’re always pleased to see what incredibly impressive projects XL
Video GmbH is realizing with our products the variety ranges from concerts to
international trade fairs and exhibitions. In this regard we have the same aim:
to impress the audience with high-resolution content in the best-possible
quality."
