Nasuni Adds Hardware Appliances to Access Storage Services

Nasuni introduced two hardware appliance options to access its Data Protection Service.

These hardware appliances are simple to deploy, operating as a plug-and-play device, and are pre-configured to deliver performance for Nasuni’s services.

Nasuni’s storage services offer data protection, availability and support to organizations that require their data be accessible 100 percent of the time – with no risk of data loss. This all-in-one solution unifies primary data storage, data backup, and offsite disaster recovery with a 100 percent reliability guarantee that is supported by a stringent service level agreement. Like the virtual appliance counterpart, Nasuni’s hardware appliances enable organizations to enjoy performance and control while reaping the benefits of the cloud for scalability and protection.

For the data center or enterprise headquarters, Nasuni is offering a hardware appliance with 6 TB of local capacity for $5,499, allowing strong on-premise control and support. For remote locations, distributed offices or dynamic field offices like those in consulting or construction, which often lack full IT staff, Nasuni provides a lighter version with 3 TB of local capacity for $3,999.

Organizations can use multiple appliances, hardware or virtual, to tailor a storage solution to their particular needs. Prospective customers can evaluate a fully functional virtual appliance at no cost. Once ready to deploy the system in production, customers can choose to remain in the virtual appliance or, without having to migrate data, use one of the new hardware appliances instead.
