This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 19, 2011 at 3:00 pmRaxco Software, Inc. has named Arthur Frischman as its new president.
Frischman, founder and most recently president of security software company PCSecurityShield, takes over as Raxco undergoes growth in its core drive performance software market and plans to move into new product lines.
Frischman plans to expand the company’s product offerings through in-house development, licensing and acquisition. Expansion is planned for both the business and consumer sides of the business. In recent years, Raxco has capitalized on the industry’s data explosion and new storage requirements, as well as the need to optimize the performance of virtualization environments, to grow its PerfectDisk defragmentation and optimization family of products. Frischman plans to continue growing this line of business as well as build Raxco’s growing consumer line of business.
"With growing and well-established corporate and consumer install bases, Raxco is positioned to enter a new phase of growth that builds on its leadership in performance, storage and system utility software," said Frischman. "We plan to build on the highly-regarded reputations of Raxco and PerfectDisk with new business and consumer software solutions in the coming months."
Raxco’s business solutions include the PerfectDisk family of software for SMB and enterprise PCs and servers, including virtual environments. Raxco has established strategic partnerships with storage and virtualization companies, including VMware, Microsoft, HP, Citrix, IBM and others. The need to optimize the performance of the growing storage and virtualization markets has helped spur the demand for PerfectDisk in these areas. Many Global 1000 corporations use PerfectDisk to improve productivity, reduce costs and improve their bottom lines.
For consumers, the PerfectDisk line of defrag software solutions offers a selection of products to boost PC performance and help the home office user work and play faster. Frischman plans to expand Raxco’s consumer product line with new performance utilities in the next few months, including the upcoming release of PerfectSpeed 3, an all-in-one PC optimizer and PerfectRegistry.
New products for both product lines are already in the works, and announcements will be made in the coming weeks and months as these products are brought to market.
Most recently, Frischman founded and built security software company PCSecurityShield, which was awarded as a Top 500 Internet retailer in five years. He grew the company’s antivirus and security product lines rapidly, before selling the company in December 2008.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
