New Version of Novosoft Handy Backup

Novosoft LLC released a new version of Handy Backup. The backup software brings powerful MySQL backup, advanced automatic backup features, and a refined interface of the integrated online backup cloud storage.

Handy Backup now features MySQL backup software functionality. The software helps to perform the automatic database backup with the use of a flexible scheduler (backup and recovery might be associated with a time or system event trigger). The hot backup technology makes it possible to back up MySQL databases without interrupting web applications and website services. The databases might be backed up as a whole or separately, as a set of uniquely specified database tables. The MySQL backup software functionality is applicable to databases with no regard to whether they are local or networked.

Besides being MySQL backup software, Handy Backup is also capable of backing up Oracle, MS Access, Postgre SQL, DB2, and other ODBC-compatible databases.

Among other features, there is smart backup automation. Now a user can decide whether to set automation preferences using the filter system or with the help of a new filter-free system.

One more feature is a refined interface of the online backup cloud storage integrated with the Handy Backup software. Now all types of data (including MySQL databases, disk images, etc.) can be saved to a remote server of the protected Handy Backup datacenter in the interface formed with regard to user feedback.

Traditionally, the new version features smart ZIP compression, military-grade data encryption, FTP backup, variety of handy plug-ins (for careful Outlook backup among other things), Windows service mode to save the resource consumption for a backed up system, disaster recovery bootable hard drive creation, and Windows compatibility.
