Scale Computing Launches Incentive Program
For VARs frustrated by new HP Enterprise Storage Authorization
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 7, 2011 at 3:04 pmScale Computing announced new channel program incentives for HP value-added resellers (VARs) that join the Scale Partner Program.
HP recently announced additional changes to their partner certification program that affect the P4000 SAN solution, formerly sold as HP LeftHand. The transition to the new Enterprise Storage Authorization will put additional burden on smaller VARs and raises concerns about HP’s level of commitment to the smaller VARs that serve the storage needs of the small to medium-sized enterprise.
For a limited time, existing HP VARs that join the Scale Computing Partner Program are eligible for free web-based technical training, free web-based sales and marketing training, and $350 special payment incentives for fast sales. Scale recently announced a new partner program that makes a commitment to all 4 partner levels: Preferred, Select, Choice and Engaged. The highest level, Preferred, requires approximately half of the revenue generation of a HP Enterprise Storage Authorized Partner.
"These new VAR certifications announced by HP will bring more challenges to those VARs in serving their core SME customers," said Peter Fuller, vice president of marketing and business development at Scale Computing. "We want to extend our support to those affected VARs and introduce them to our 100 percent channel, 5-star partner program – complete with web-based education, online sales training, and full marketing support. The tools and support of our partner program, combined with our scale-out, unified storage products specifically tailored to the budgets of the SME market and their virtualization needs, will reinforce their own SME strategy and exceed their customers’ expectations."
All partners receive technical training on Scale’s storage solution, enabling a new partner to become certified in less than a day. Scale partners also receive access to the Scale partner portal and onboarding support. The highest level of partners, Preferred Partners, will also receive a credit in the Partner Opportunity Guide for joint marketing programs and resources, a marketing roadmap, marketing development funds, and Scale generated leads.
As SMEs continue to adopt virtualization, 70 percent of Scale’s current customers have chosen Scale for their virtualization capabilities, pricing and performance. Both VMware Ready and Citrix Ready, Scale Computing builds storage to meet the new demands put on storage infrastructures when virtualizing the server environment. Using a scale-out architecture that can match the performance and versatility of the virtual server infrastructure, Scale Computing ensures virtualization is not stalled by underperforming storage. This storage technology is available at prices that enable small to medium-sized enterprises to embrace virtualization, not just for consolidation cost savings, but also for improved availability and more dynamic IT service delivery.
All of Scale’s storage products for virtualization and archiving feature the company’s Intelligent Clustered Operating System (ICOS), an advanced pay as you grow, scale-out storage operating system combining features with intelligence that makes storage easy-to-manage and reduces the cost of implementing server and desktop virtualization.
