She is responsible for architecting a high impact channel organization focused on enabling partners worldwide to benefit from incremental revenue opportunities for enterprise-class cloud storage solutions. She will focus on enabling channel partners to address key markets facing challenges with large unstructured data sets -Big Data -such as healthcare, biopharma, entertainment and financial services.

Halama will develop a multi-tier channel strategy that will enable partners to resell pre-tested, pre-configured and pre-packaged hybrid or private cloud storage solutions-and custom solutions-based on the Nirvanix CloudCompete variable cloud deployment portfolio. Nirvanix will also offer a Virtual Cloud Storage Service Provider package, which enables service providers to white-label and resell public cloud storage services from Nirvanix.

"The optimal time for channel partners to stake their position in the cloud and add their value added services atop the Nirvanix stack is now," said Erik Hardy, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Nirvanix. "Big Data can’t be stored effectively using conventional methods and requires a new storage architecture with a lower cost structure, making the cloud an ideal solution. Tracey nearly doubled channel revenues in the enterprise space at CommVault and successfully managed several of EMC’s largest reseller relationships. With her successful background in the enterprise storage industry, Tracey is well positioned to help Nirvanix productize the cloud in the channel."

"The business opportunity for the channel is substantial in this market as customers increasingly recognize the compelling economics of cloud storage in the face of a veritable avalanche of data and the rising costs of purchasing, managing, maintaining and re-purchasing onsite storage systems," said Tracey Halama, Vice President of Worldwide Channels, Nirvanix. "The Nirvanix CloudComplete portfolio provides channel partners with additional sales tools to address their customers’ pressing needs for more cost-effective, flexible enterprise-class storage alternatives. Further, with channel partners’ market reach, they can bring the benefits of cloud storage to many more customers and significantly extend Nirvanix’s addressable market."

The Nirvanix channel program will enable resellers to quickly expand their offerings and increase revenues as they capitalize on growing customer demand for cloud solutions. The program also provides channel partners with access to the cloud storage provider with partnerships and tight API-level integration with backup, archive and DAM industry leaders, such as CommVault, Symantec and Front Porch Digital. The program will also include the development of joint go-to-market plans, training and incentive programs, and partner recruitment tools.

Halama has over 15 years of experience in IT and channels sales serving Fortune 2500 clients across all industries, with major contributions at EMC and CommVault. As the Director of Channel Sales at CommVault, Halama was responsible for management, revenue and channel strategy for corporate resellers and VARs. In FY11, she nearly doubled channel revenue with a specific focus on enterprise customers. Halama also established new channel programs and incentives in the CommVault Partner Advantage Program. Prior to CommVault, Halama was with EMC, managing and growing several of EMC’s largest reseller relationships including CDW, Forsythe Solutions Group, Logicalis and Datalink. She is a member of Women in IT and a former Director of The EMC Women’s Leadership Forum, and was a past recipient of EMC Channel Manager of the Year.
