Stealthy SolidFire Moves HQs to Boulder, CO

From Atlanta, GA

SolidFire, provider of all-solid-state storage systems for cloud service providers, has relocated its headquarters to Colorado.

The company, previously located in Atlanta, Georgia, has moved its headquarters to Boulder and is now leasing a 10,000-square-foot office, adding new job openings in marketing and engineering.

SolidFire was founded in December 2009 by Dave Wright, the founder of Jungle Disk, sold to Rackspace. In February 2011, SolidFire announced that it has secured $11 million in Series A funding led by New Enterprise Associates with investors Valhalla Partners and Novak Biddle Venture Partners participating, bringing the total capital raised by the company to $12 million.

"We made the decision to move our headquarters to Boulder, in part because of the amazing technical storage talent that is in this area," said Dave Wright, CEO of SolidFire. "Being in the heart of Boulder is a great recruiting tool for us and we are looking forward to growing our business here while providing scalable, high-performance primary storage solutions for the cloud service provider market."
