Alliance Storage Technologies Increasing Sales by 39% in 2010

With profitability through second half of the year

Alliance Storage Technologies, Inc. announced the close of a record year for sales for 2010, and an increase in investment in channel and product development for 2011.

"This has been our strongest year," stated ASTI CEO, Chris Carr. "We have seen significant growth overall, increasing total sales by 39%, showing solid profitability through the second half of 2010. Our services revenue continues to grow as we provide support, both direct and through our authorized service partner network worldwide," Carr said.

As the leading alternative to disk and tape backup systems, Alliance archiving storage solutions are positioned for continued growth in 2011. "Our optical archiving technology enables users to secure their critical data on proven 50+ year media without needing to regularly replace disk drives or migrate data off of aging tape systems. We offer significant acquisition and total operational expense savings of over 40% versus disk-based storage, presenting a compelling value proposition to our customers," Carr said.

In addition, ASTI has enjoyed marked growth in the manufacturing and sales of its Ultra Density Media (UDO). With over 17,000 current installations worldwide, Alliance continues to meet the demand for media, maintaining strong supply channels in support of its current and growing library installations.

As part of its overall 2011 growth strategy, Alliance has doubled its trade show participation, and has tripled its investment in marketing and the expansion of its partner and service provider programs.

As storage capacity and stringent compliance requirements continue to pressure organizations to implement long-term data archiving solutions, ASTI continues to invest in product feature enhancements and new product development to meet market demands.

"With storage capacity requirements growing dramatically each year, we are seeing an increasing need for cost-effective archival alternatives to disk and tape," Carr said. "Our ongoing product development ensures our customers can securely archive their critical records to meet rigorous compliance mandates and reduce their total ownership costs," Carr said.
