Ahsay Backup Software V6 Released

Ahsay Systems Corporation released Backup Software version 6.

The backup software equips with new features including virtual machine support and reseller management panel. These features allow online backup service providers to enhance offerings to their online backup customers, as well as the capability to better manage their downstream resellers.

VMware and Hyper-V Support
Ahsay Backup Software version 6 is able to fulfill the needs of online backup service providers who are seeking for solution in backing up customers’ virtual machines. The new Ahsay’s client-side backup application, Ahsay Online Backup Manager (AhsayOBM) version 6, is able to back up the images of individual guest virtual machines in VMware ESX, ESXi, Server 2, as well as Microsoft Hyper-V Server. During restoration, one can restore the backed up image of a particular guest virtual machine from the backup server through http or https protocol to its original host server. Alternatively, one can choose to restore the components of a virtual machine, e.g. VMDK file of VMware, or the snapshots, virtual hard disks and virtual machines of Microsoft Hyper-V, so that manual restoration can be done afterward.

Reseller Management
Reseller management panel is another feature for providers of online backup service. They can now make use of this feature to manage their downstream resellers. Each downstream reseller of a service provider can have its own branded section as well as dedicated backup web address hosted by the top level service provider. Backup data from the customers of the reseller will be hosted by the service provider. Thus, service providers can now use this feature for recruiting and managing downstream resellers for generating more online backup businesses.
