Archion Showcases Three Storage Solutions for Media Workflows

In SAN intelligence and solutions for cross-platform, shared media workflows, Archion Technologies was showcasing its expanded product line at this year’s NAB 2011.  

Specifically designed for post production and graphic design requirements, including uncompressed HD, 3D, RED, 2K/4K and other file-based workflows.

Known for its Synergy storage system, which enhances Avid’s Unity file system with hardware RAID protection, Archion is introducing three new products at this year’s NAB: Synergy XTR, EditSTOR ES and Alliance LT.

Archion is also featuring other collaborative storage solutions that enhance workflows encompassing the content creation tools such as Apple’s Final Cut Studio, Avid’s Media Composer and DS, Adobe CS and Autodesk Smoke and Flame.

Synergy XTR, EditSTOR ES and Alliance LT
With product offerings that range from integrated SAN solutions to compatible, intelligent, add-on RAID storage systems for other popular SANs, Archion has an advanced solution to meet the needs of today’s post production and graphic design professionals. The three new Archion products making their debuts at NAB are Synergy XTR, EditSTOR ES and Alliance LT.

• Like Synergy UXE, which offers performance RAID protected add-on storage for the Avid Unity, the Synergy XTR is designed to offer compatibility with Avid MediaNetwork and ease of management. Synergy XTR underscores Archion’s commitment to continued advancements in storage technologies and further future-proofs the Synergy product line for Avid Unity environments.
• EditSTOR ES takes the multi-platform shared storage system of EditSTOR to a new level. A self-contained SAN that is designed for every post facility and creative agency, including schools, houses of worship and enterprises, EditSTOR ES includes several new features that are designed to enhance media workflow management. Suited for Final Cut Studio, Adobe CS and Avid Media Composer applications, it supports most offline editing workflows.
• A ‘lite’ version of the well-established Alliance Pro, Alliance LT is a performance SAN that offers file-level sharing, hardware RAID protection, support for three operating systems (MAC, Windows and Linux) and both Fibre Channel (FC) and Ethernet connectivity.It is designed for facilities that have both demanding editing requirements, but would also like to connect stations via low cost Ethernet, while simultaneously gaining performance that is 30-50% higher than its nearest competitor at a competitive cost.
