The PRO RX 16ex is a 3-U rackmount, 16-drive storage array with three x16 lane PCIe2 and two x8 PCIe2 bus expansion systems, backward compatible to PCIe1.
The PRO RX ex16 is an enterprise class storage array 3-U rackmount solution that provides the foundation to scale as your data requirements increase or as your demand for PCIe2 x16 or x8 PCIe2 lane bus slots increases. The PRO RX 16ex is a combination of a high performance storage array with the flexibility of expansion x16 lane PCIe2 technology. The PRO RXex16 expansion technology allows the user to increase the number of x16, and x8 lane PCIe2 bus slots for a Mac or PC.
With the PRO RX 16ex (80 GB/s) expansion technology there is no compromising in performance. The expansion HBE card (host bus extension) is a x16 lane PCIe2 HBE card, and a x16 lane 3 meter cable, is provided. The PRO RX ex16 storage array can be configured with capacity of 16TB, 32TB, 48TB with 6Gb/s SAS or SATA drives.
