NewPush Selects Zerowait

To architect, manage new NetApp, IBM N storage infrastructure

Zerowait Corporation, provider of independent NetApp support and off- lease systems, announced that NewPush, a global application and data-warehouse hosting company, has selected Zerowait to architect and manage NewPush’s NetApp and IBM N series storage infrastructure.

"Our existing storage-attached-network system has served us well but it was time to upgrade, and with the ever-growing need for more and faster data, Zerowait was able to architect a storage infrastructure that utilizes our legacy NetApp systems and prepares for the addition of N series storage," said Balazs Nagy, chief architect of NewPush. "In addition to its depth of expertise with NetApp systems and the IBM N series, Zerowait was able to seamlessly blend in SimplStor, its cost-effective petabyte-scale storage system. As we are launching our new backup solution that scales to petabyte sizes, we needed a partner like Zerowait to get the storage back-end to the level of reliability that our customers have come to expect."

"Our industry partners know they can tap into the Zerowait engineering team’s extensive knowledge of NetApp products and storage network architecture when they are considering upgrades to their storage infrastructures," said Rob Robinson, vice president of sales at Zerowait. "As NewPush has discovered, the addition of SimplStor provides users all the tools necessary to deploy a complete storage environment, including easily extended petabyte-class archive storage, at prices the OEMs simply can’t meet."

"We’re pleased NewPush has selected Zerowait products and services as an integral part of its expanding application and warehousing needs," said Mike Linett, Zerowait president and CEO. "We’ve been able to broaden our presence around the world thanks to the success and long-term relationships we’ve developed with partners such as NewPush. These relationships have yielded referrals and recommendations from our customers, which has helped Zerowait expand rapidly."

Zerowait has experienced revenue growth – up 45 percent in 2011. The company now has offices located in its Delaware headquarters; Dallas, Texas; Manchester, United Kingdom; and its recently opened facility in Sydney, Australia. The company’s expansion is attributed to its cost-effective service of post-warranty NetApp storage systems, as well as the SimplStor family of integrated storage solutions, which reduces the acquisition costs of enterprise storage and virtually eliminates the licensing costs associated with most other enterprise storage solutions.
