BakBone Partnership With Zycko
In the UK
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 16, 2011 at 3:38 pmZycko revealed its latest vendor partnership with BakBone, now part of Quest Software. BakBone selected Zycko because of its market penetration and reseller portfolio.
Zycko will distribute NetVault: FASTRecover, NetVault: Backup, and NetVault: SmartDisk in the UK.
- NetVault: FASTRecover offers a 30-second recovery of Exchange, SQL and Windows file server applications, and accompanying data;
- NetVault: Backup provides a dynamic modular architecture format which can support new software and IT environments of any size; and
- NetVault: SmartDisk delivers intelligent 12-to-1 ratio deduplication that doesn’t require specific types of storage drives, appliances or specialist storage expertise.
Zycko’s Group Sales and Marketing Director, David Galton-Fenzi (right) explains: "The BakBone data protection solutions we’ve added to our portfolio will complement Zycko’s incumbent data backup and protection vendors. Combining NetVault with leading edge hardware from other Zycko vendors will allow us to offer bundled solutions to our resellers; a future SMB solution will combine the BakBone software with racks, blades and storage."
Jeroen Lochtenberg, NE Sales Director, Quest Data Protection from BakBone adds: "Whilst we already have a long-established presence in the UK, we are keen to increase our reseller base. Zycko is therefore a perfect partner as its value-added approach and expert knowledge has created strong relationships in the channel that BakBone, and ultimately Quest Software, will benefit from."
Galton-Fenzi concludes with a comment on Quest Software’s recent acquisition of BakBone: "We are confident that Quest’s recent BakBone acquisition will result in increased investment and further product development."
Zycko is offering a free 45-day evaluation license to all resellers. Testing facilities can also be accessed in Zycko’s million pound Cirencester lab.
