Rob Booth, VP WW Sales Operations, Riverbed

Coming from Oracle

Riverbed Technology announced that Rob Booth has joined the company as vice president of worldwide sales operations.

Booth brings over 20 years of sales operations experience and an understanding of how to drive incremental revenue within sales, channel and customer organizations. In his new role at Riverbed, Booth will be responsible for creating and implementing overall sales operations strategies designed to help achieve the company’s global business objectives.

One of Booth’s primary initiatives will be to further develop tools and systems to enable Riverbed’s field sales organization to meet its short and long-term objectives. Additionally, he will be responsible for sales enablement, sales forecasting and optimizing the customer and partner sales experience.

"Rob’s extensive experience in sales operations, channel and sales with start-up and Fortune 500 companies made him a natural fit for this position," said Dave Peranich, executive vice president of global field operations at Riverbed. "His understanding of creating, communicating and executing programs for revenue generation and sales effectiveness will help Riverbed scale its sales programs in the coming years."

Booth joins Riverbed from Oracle Corporation, where he was a senior director responsible for worldwide sales operations of the embedded global business unit. Prior to Oracle Corporation, Booth was vice president of Americas sales operations at BEA Systems, where he was responsible for managing Americas sales operations staff in supporting Americas sales management. At BEA Systems, Booth was also an integral member of the Strategy and Process Group, where he collaborated on new sales process documents and new sales force automation tools and established metrics for sales analytics. Booth has also held leadership positions at Cisco Systems, Compaq Computers and Tandem Computers.
