LogicsOne, a virtualization consulting and services firm in the Southeast, and Sovereign Systems, provider of storage management solutions and services, have previously offered their respective portfolios to commercial, enterprise, SMB, and healthcare companies. Effective immediately, IT manufacturers and solution providers offering virtualization and cloud enablement technologies will be able to leverage the joint capabilities of LogicsOne and Sovereign Systems. All engineering resources, support resources, certifications, and services will be combined and integrated into a single engagement model.

"We’ve seen a considerable void in the marketplace for manufacturers and systems integrators to provide the complete stack of virtualization and cloud enablement capabilities," said David Able, founder of LogicsOne and CTO of the merged company. "Sovereign Systems has developed a reputation in our customer base and the industry as the best-in-class consulting and services provider for storage, backup, and recovery of virtualized and cloud infrastructures.  By combining resources, our consultants can now extend the services portfolios of both organizations to partners and customers, furthering our ability to architect and support cloud infrastructures."

"This is the logical extension of a relationship between our two companies that has developed over the past three years," said Dave Wasserman, VP of Sales for Sovereign Systems. "LogicsOne’s domain knowledge and capabilities on virtualization and cloud enablement are unsurpassed by any other organization in the market today. We are extremely excited about the opportunity this represents for the marketplace in advancing the virtualization and cloud frontier."

The company will be headquartered in metro Atlanta with satellite offices in Tampa, Orlando, Miami, and Nashville.  The merged company will focus on providing professional services, consulting, support, and management for virtualization, storage, backup, disaster recovery and cloud enablement.

"This merger is about positioning ourselves to better serve our customers, and to better assist our critical technology partners starting immediately and well into the future," said Douglas Vercellotti, CEO of LogicsOne. "Storage management remains a key problem to solve, in virtual as well as non-virtual environments. Virtualization is a key to helping to solve all types of problems, from applications provisioning to resource – including storage – management. Bringing these proficiencies together all in a single services team will accelerate our capability to deliver the full range of services which our customers and partners require."
