Trend Micro Antivirus for NAS
For network storage devices vendors
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on January 10, 2011 at 3:06 pmTrend Micro Incorporated announced a NAS solution that includes built-in antivirus designed to prevent the spread of viruses within workplaces and home offices. Trend Micro NAS Security’s antivirus technology is built directly into the NAS itself and requires no extra installation for protection.
Trend Micro NAS Security is optimized for NAS-based Linux operating systems and helps prevent malware infections. The product provides protection against computer viruses, Trojans, and worms. When these files are uploaded to an NAS, Trend Micro NAS Security is able to scan these files in real-time. A web-based management console makes it easy to use, while at the same time providing centralized virus scanning, pattern updates, event reporting and antivirus configuration.
Main features include:
- Antivirus and spyware protection. Detects and removes viruses and spyware using real-time, on-demand and scheduled scans.
- Anti-malware policy compliance. Enables antivirus policy enforcement and accelerates automatic updates of virus patterns and scan engines.
- Log report. Allows IT administrators to keep logs of malware detection and scan performance.
