The compact device, set to debut in second quarter 2011 and retail for under $100, includes all the functionality of the company’s NUS1000, with added NTFS write support, remote access capability and gigabit Ethernet connectivity, delivering the highest speed available on the market for Ethernet devices.
"The Link+ is ideal for users who want to tap into their document and media library while on the go, with smartphone access that makes it easy to view and share files from anywhere," said Tenny Sin, Executive Vice President at Cirago. "Our users spoke and we listened, adding NTFS write support and faster port speed to optimize performance across the board, while maintaining the plug-and-play ease of access and setup."
Featuring four USB 2.0 ports, each supporting up to 2TB drive capacity, the Cirago Link+ adds up to 8 TB of data storage to any network. Configurable for up to 32 user accounts, the device provides secure password access to specific drives and/or folders.
Compatible with any wireless router for cordless access, the device includes built-in iTunes, BitTorrent and media server capabilities that allow users to create and access an entire digital media library from any networked device. And, with new remote access, the personal library is available from anywhere via any Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad mobile device.
The Cirago Link+, along with a range of the company’s other multimedia and storage solutions, was available for private demonstration throughout the International CES, January 6-9.
