Lockheed Martin Adds Spectra Logic

To federal purchasing contract

Spectra Logic Corp. announced that its complete product line of tape and disk storage offerings has been added to a Lockheed Martin Corporate Purchase Agreement (CPA) and a Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract. With the new listings, Lockheed Martin’s federal agency customers can purchase Spectra Logic’s storage solutions at attractive, pre-approved prices, thereby shortening and simplifying their purchase and procurement processes.

"Spectra Logic is dedicated to delivering the highest-value solutions to the Federal market while helping to streamline the procurement process," said Mark Weis, vice president of federal sales, Spectra Logic. "Federal agencies often prefer to purchase IT equipment through various contracts for faster, easier procurement, and Lockheed Martin is the number one ranked Federal systems integrator in the USA. An agency can reduce its product procurement time from months down to days when it purchases pre-approved products through a Lockheed Martin contract."

In its agreement with Lockheed Martin, Spectra Logic’s backup and archive storage products are offered at a preset discount. Lockheed Martin can purchase Spectra tape libraries and disk appliances for its data centers, or purchase and redistribute them to federal agency end users, simplifying the ordering process for Lockheed Martin buyers.

NETCENTS provides decentralized ordering for systems and infrastructure for a net-centric environment across the United States Air Force, Department of Defense, and the Federal Government. With Spectra Logic now added to Lockheed Martin’s NETCENTS contract, NETCENTS buyers can easily procure Spectra’s backup and archive solutions through the Lockheed purchase agreement.

Lockheed Martin’s CPA and NETCENTS buyers will have access to Spectra Logic’s complete product suite, including the entry-level Spectra T50e and T120, Mid-Range T200/T380/T680, enterprise T950 and T-Finity tape libraries; and the nTier disk appliance family.

Spectra Logic products are listed on other federal purchasing contracts, including GSA, SEWP, and ITES-2H.
