Nine Technology Releases V1.5 of Powered By Nine Online Backup
More support of data on business network drives and simpler international transactions
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 9, 2010 at 2:57 pmNine Technology released the version 1.5 of its Powered By Nine software. The new features and functionalities included in version 1.5 of the business continuity tool will enable more complete support of data on business network drives and will simplify international partners’ transactions.
Network drive support and improved reporting metrics and techniques highlight the elements of Powered By Nine version 1.5. Coupled with block-level global deduplication algorithms, the network drive support will aid managed service providers in protecting larger amounts of data with a smaller footprint on the back-end infrastructure. And the added reporting capabilities will enable MSPs to track when their clients backed up data and the status of those backup procedures.
"The features and benefits of this newest version of the Powered By Nine software will enhance MSPs’ offsite backup offerings," said Tom Gelson, CEO of Nine Technology. "Adding network drive support, for example, will simplify corporate network wide backups and supercharge the block-level global deduplication by creating a wider catalogue of blocks to compare against."
Also included in this release is world currency support for international partners. Until now, the US dollar ($) was the only currency in the system supported for billing. But with the addition of several international partners, Nine Technology has enabled several other currencies within the administrative portal.
"Adding the Powered By Nine solutions to my managed service business will help me provide the most complete package of disaster recovery tools to my clients, which are mostly charities and non-profit groups," said Steve Westrop, Director of PuzzledWorld Consultancy Services, Nine Technology’s first United Kingdom-based partner. "The added benefits of the latest release of the software enable us to provide an even better service, and make accounts much easier to manage."
