50th Storage Client for A3 Communications
Press release for PR: a rarity
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 12, 2010 at 3:00 pmHaving signed up three new clients in as many weeks, Federica (Fred) Monsone, founder and managing director of data storage-focussed PR agency A3 Communications, now counts over 50 data storage organisations among her past and present clients.
Fred’s experience and understanding of this technology market has helped vendors, resellers, associations and conference organisers design and implement PR strategies in the UK and across EMEA. Paul Talbut, former chairman of the Storage Networking Industry Association Europe, described Fred’s "knowledge of the [data storage] space to be exceptional."
"We signed up A3 Communications because we did not want to take chances with our European launch, and we haven’t been disappointed," said Michael Robinson, Vice President, Marketing Communications at GreenBytes, a developer of inline deduplication data storage solutions, and Fred Monsone’s fiftieth storage client. "The team’s PR skills and their understanding of our technology resulted in briefings with the who’s who of the UK press, bloggers and analyst communities."
At a time when most IT PR firms are still generalists Fred has positioned A3 Communications at the heart of the data storage market to offer her company’s clients a thorough knowledge of the (social) media and analyst landscape coupled with an understanding of the technologies and the industry.
"The IT PR landscape is getting more and more competitive as new agencies regularly appear on the scene; however today’s clients value industry knowledge and appreciate that you cannot become an expert in a couple of years," said Federica Monsone, founder and managing director of A3 Communications. "Over the past 15 years I have represented over 50 companies in the storage space and I still find it exciting when I sing up a new client and draw up its PR strategy. I am thrilled with the success A3 Communications has achieved and am looking forward to announcing our hundredth client."
Chris Mellor, storage editor at The Register, said:" With Fred there’s less distance between me and her clients; she understands how The Register works and how I work, she understands the storage industry but lets her clients do the talking. If I was a supplier I’d hire A3 for my PR."
Over the years Fred has helped companies including 3PAR, Adaptec, BakBone, Brocade, Data Domain (now EMC), Decru (Now NetApp), Emulex, Fujitsu, Seagate and SNIA Europe among others.
Woody Hutsell, former President at solid state storage pioneer Texas Memory Systems, an A3 Communications client since 2003, said: "A3 Communications played a major role in helping TMS enter the European market and continues to help us grow in revenue and credibility. Fred’s connections in the European technology market are unparalleled. I cannot imagine that Texas Memory Systems would have had the success we have had without A3 Communications and would recommend this team without hesitation."
