i365 Sees Partner Momentum With EVault for DPM

Datalink Networks and PEI among resellers

i365, Inc., a Seagate Company, announced momentum in the reseller channel for its EVault for Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager (Evault for DPM) all-in-one backup and recovery appliance.

Introduced in April 2010, EVault for DPM is a cross-platform data protection solution allowing IT managers to extend Microsoft DPM 2010 across mixed IT environments and into the Cloud. Datalink Networks, Inc. and Performance Enhancements, Inc. (PEI) are among the growing list of resellers authorized to sell this solution and complement their existing portfolios of data protection and Microsoft System Center solutions.

Demand for protecting company-critical data with a single solution is high, as organizations seek to manage mixed IT environments. Until now, no backup product offered integration with Microsoft System Center and DPM’s protection for Microsoft servers, applications and laptops combined with support for non-Microsoft platforms and the option to replicate the protected data to the Cloud. EVault for Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager is a product that can meet these needs with a single solution.

"We are delighted with the ability of EVault to integrate seamlessly into Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager," said Don Wisdom, president of Datalink Networks, Inc., a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner specializing in the design and implementation of Microsoft System Center in corporate IT environments. "EVault for DPM and i365’s Cloud-Connected storage services provides IT managers a best of breed solution with real choices for optimal on-premise and off-site storage solutions."

"As our customers march steadily toward new Cloud-based and internet-delivered infrastructures, EVault for Microsoft System Center DPM 2010 facilitates platform choice, simplifies recovery and provides a much needed refresh to the old backup and recovery game," said Chris Krueger, vice president and chief information officer at PEI. "PEI is thrilled to be involved in this seminal introduction of a new technology from i365 and Microsoft."

The i365 EVault Partner Program provides partners with access to resources that can help drive license and services revenue, create new opportunities, increase profitability, and close deals more quickly. The program establishes three main partner categories – Member, Specialist, and Elite. EVault Member Partners refer deals to i365 and are paid a referral fee. Certification in EVault for DPM enables partners to become an EVault Specialist Partner. If partners get certified in more than two specializations and commit to an annual revenue goal, then they can become an Elite partner.

"The momentum and partner success we have experienced with EVault for DPM demonstrates the industry need to extend the protection offered by Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager beyond the Windows infrastructure and applications to other platforms within their organization," said Terry Cunningham, senior vice president and general manager, i365. "Together with Microsoft we are offering cross-platform data protection with a single interface, and will continue to support our partners who are leveraging our Cloud-Connected offerings to meet the customer challenge of maintaining business continuity in multi-platform, multi-site environments."
