actidata Adds Backup Exec Quickstart Edition

actidata GmbH announces the signing of a new partner agreement with Symantec Corp. With immediate effect, actidata library, RDX and LTO drive products will be equipped with the industry leading data protection solution Backup Exec Quickstart Edition software for server operating systems from Symantec.

 
Backup Exec 2010 delivers reliable backup and recovery designed for growing businesses. It protects more data while reducing storage and management costs through integrated deduplication and archiving technology. It reduces business downtime, ensures that critical information on virtual or physical systems is always protected and restored in seconds.
 
The Backup Exec Quickstart Edition from Symantec is provided together with actidata products and is valid for one server. If growing demands require upgrading and e.g. deployment on a second server the customer can obtain the full version of the software from Symantec.  
 
actidata is shipping its products with a login-key for the Symantec backup software, ensuring that the customer always has access to the very latest software version. After registration at Symantec, future administration and updating of the software takes place directly via Symantec. actidata dealers also profit from direct access to the professional Symantec support team.
