CommVault Distributed by Hitachi Computer Peripherals

CommVault has finalized a master distribution agreement with Hitachi Computer Peripherals Co., Ltd. (HCP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd, to market and sell CommVault Simpana software and support services to enterprise customers and resellers in Japan.

HCP is well positioned to help drive market momentum and software sales for CommVault.

According to IDC, most companies in Japan are increasingly assigning top priority to infrastructure management solutions including system and network management software and storage software in their IT investment agendas.

The newly signed distribution agreement now provides CommVault access to HCP’s install base of large enterprise customers and numerous partners.

CommVault’s latest distribution milestone reinforces the company’s continued focus on broadening its global market momentum with the addition of a solid foothold in Japan.

Drives Simpana Software Market Momentum:

• HCP has aligned with CommVault to address customers’ escalating data growth and rising demand for modern data management solutions that reduce storage costs while increasing operational efficiencies.
• By selecting CommVault as a go-to-market partner in the area of data and information management, HCP will distribute Simpana software’s integrated solutions for content organization, backup modernization, disaster recovery, eDiscovery, compliance and storage resource management.
• In doing so, HCP will facilitate additional business for its Japanese resellers while enabling the storage company’s large enterprise customers to transform how their mission-critical data is protected, optimized and accessed across physical and virtual environments.
• The partnership with HCP complements CommVault’s existing worldwide OEM relationship with Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, another wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., to market and sell the Hitachi Data Protection Suite Powered by CommVault.
