SIOS Technology Group, the Tokyo-based parent of SteelEye Technology, outlined plans for this transition on July 27 under a global expansion of its business of assisting enterprises in adopting cloud computing technology. The transition formally took place Oct. 1.
SIOS Technology Corp. will continue offering its LifeKeeper and DataKeeper business continuity solutions under the SteelEye brand.
SIOS Technology Corp. has established itself as a firm in protecting Linux, Windows and virtual environments, offering a family of data and application replication, high-availability clustering and disaster recovery solutions. SIOS Technology Corp. will leverage its parent company’s success in assisting enterprises adopt emerging technologies, including Linux, open source software and Google Apps, with its own business continuity expertise to help enterprises take the next steps in their IT transformation. This includes utilizing SIOS’ know-how to help enterprises extend key applications and data into the cloud.
Customers and channel partners will continue to experience the support and product commitment they already get from SteelEye. In addition, SIOS Technology Corp. will offer new business continuity and cloud computing solutions, providing channel partners with greater sales opportunities in the enterprise market and giving its customers access to cutting-edge solutions that add value to their business.
