Bob Garthwaite VP and GM for Americas Consumer Business, Imation
Promoted from GM of electronic products and XtremeMac businesses

Garthwaite to the position of vice president and general manager of the company’s consumer business for the Americas. In this role, Garthwaite will lead Imation’s U.S., Canada, and Latin America business in consumer channels for the company’s Imation, Memorex, TDK Life on Record, and XtremeMac brands.

Garthwaite has more than 25 years experience in product development, sales, marketing, strategic planning, and international leadership roles in the consumer electronics industry. Most recently, Garthwaite was general manager of Imation’s Electronic Products and XtremeMac businesses. Prior to Imation, Garthwaite was president and CEO of Altec Lansing Technologies, a division of Plantronics. He also held previous sales and marketing leadership positions at Brother International and Franklin Electronic Publishers.
Garthwaite holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Princeton University.
