Atto Supports vSphere 4.1

For FC HBAs

ATTO Technology, Inc. announced that its 8Gb/s Celerity Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters have achieved VMware Ready status for VMware vSphere 4.1, the latest release of the companies virtualization platform.

This status designates that the ATTO Celerity Fibre Channel host bus adapters have passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and are now listed on the VMware Hardware Compatibility List.

Passing the extensive VMware-specified testing helps ensure that ATTO Celerity Fibre Channel host bus adapters make best use of VMware technology and are ready for deployment in customer environments. Customers can now achieve the highest level of performance available for SAN environments while improving hardware utilization, operational efficiencies and reduced costs. The ATTO Celerity line of 8Gb/s Fibre Channel host bus adapters include single-, dual- and quad-channel configurations that leverage over a decade of leading-edge technologies, stable drivers and proven interoperability to provide customers with reliable Fibre Channel connectivity.

ATTO exhibited at VMworld 2010 a full line of VMware Ready products including the Celerity 8Gb/s and 4Gb/s Fibre Channel HBAs as well as the ExpressSAS 6Gb/s and 3Gb/s SAS/SATA HBAs. ATTO also showcased its newest line 6Gb/s SAS/SATA RAID adapters plus the FastStream RAID Storage Controllers.
