This follows on the company’s 22-year revenue record of providing storage solutions in all varieties of production environments throughout the world.
PROMISE was founded in the U.S. in 1988 by storage visionaries who recognized that by combining improved technology with low-cost SAS/SATA components, a RAID market transformation was possible to reduce system costs and open the market to a new segment of users. Throughout the past 22 years, PROMISE has brought RAID-quality data storage solutions to different kinds of applications, such as data centers, surveillance systems and professional A/V editing. It is the company’s focus on opening up new data storage markets, redefining storage possibilities and seeking opportunities for integrated development that has kept PROMISE at the forefront of the industry and led to unique strategic alliances with leading storage-related companies worldwide.
Completing the first half of 2010
PROMISE has achieved these goals:
- 70+ petabytes of data under management: The equivalent of four trillion pages of text, PROMISE currently provides storage solutions for public cloud computing to a Fortune 100 SAS provider;
- PROMISE was an early adopter of Intel Jasper Forest: This chip signaled a seminal movement for storage innovation resulting in improved throughput, raw processor performance and reduced power requirements;
- The introduction of the SmartStor ZERO: DLNA-certified SmartStor ZERO provides non-techie consumers with zero configuration, zero frustration, zero hassle in a breakthrough network storage device for the digital home;
- Expansion of its SMB product, VessRAID: VessRAID storage subsystems provide small to medium businesses and organizations of every size a cost-effective way to keep data online longer, while allowing fast access and reliable data protection;
- Expansion of its strategic alliance partner portfolio: This includes partnerships that address the emerging cloud storage environment with many strategic alliances and distribution partners;
- 6G SAS controller and 6G JBOD: The solution delivers outstanding enterprise-class performance to the entry-level market – providing customers high-efficiency design, value and quality;
- Expansion of the PROMISErewards Partner Program: This three-tiered partner rewards program for channel partners including distributors, resellers, and system integrators expanded the company’s reach and created new initiatives for partners and their customers;
- Customized Partner Program: Unique in the industry, PROMISE customized its Partner Program with individual partner portals to address both the traditional channel partners and those focused on furnishing solutions based on the Mac OS; and,
- VTrak 32TB and VTrak S3000: These introductions tackle storage challenges by providing organizations with enterprise-level storage services to protect their entire data set.
