S. “Sundi” Sundaresh Board’s Director at SandForce
He is former CEO of Adaptec.

A former president, CEO and board member of Adaptec, Mr. Sundaresh brings a wealth of storage industry experience to the SandForce board, which also includes SandForce president and CEO Michael Raam; Carl Amdahl, general partner of DCM; Ryan Floyd, general partner at Storm Ventures; C.S. Park, former chairman and CEO of Maxtor and Hynix; and Jackie Yang, managing director of TransLink Capital.

Mr. Sundaresh has more than 15 years of experience in managing high-growth companies in the storage industry. Before becoming an advisor and board member for technology companies, Mr. Sundaresh was the president and CEO of Adaptec, Inc. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Candera Inc., where he launched the industry’s first network storage controller. As president and CEO of Jetstream Communications, he pioneered voice over broadband and achieved the leading market share with the company’s solutions. During a previous tenure at Adaptec, Mr. Sundaresh served in a number of positions, including corporate Vice-President and General Manager for the Personal I/O division and corporate Vice President of worldwide marketing. He has also held various positions at Hyundai Electronics, Hewlett-Packard, and National Semiconductor.
Mr. Sundaresh holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
