Walter Moriconi Board’s Director of SNIA Europe

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Europe announced the newest member of its board of directors, Walter Moriconi.

 Moriconi, senior sales consultant at Oracle Italy, has joined the Board to help the association promote its messages and achieve its objectives. These, among others, include educating the industry across Europe in most matters related to data storage and management, and continuing to build a strong channel-focussed programme. Walter’s  skills in marketing and sales as well as business management and development, stem from over a decade in the IT industry; these and his four-year-long experience as a member of the SNIA Europe’s Italian Committee make him a very strong addition to the association’s board of directors. In his new role Walter will help SNIA Europe educate the IT industry on storage networking technologies, increase industry awareness of trends and standards and advance the adoption of data storage solutions.
 
SNIA Europe has a long established reputation as a recognised, EMEA-wide presence in the IT industry, and identifying and addressing the requirements of country-specific storage end users is one of the priorities for new board member Moriconi. His view that the association should continue to empower channel organisations by allowing them to stay up to date with best practices, gaining access to data storage, management and security experts, is reinforced by his support of SNIA Europe’s channel liaison efforts. His ability to identify and target key opportunities and build strong relationships with IT vendors and partners comes from many years’ experience in working with channel partners, including OEMs, VARs, distributors and resellers.
