New York Internet Implements R1Soft
For CDP backup software
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 28, 2010 at 3:05 pmNew York Internet (NYI), a data services provider, has implemented R1Soft Continuous Data Protection (CDP) to protect its clients against business-critical data loss. Integrating R1Soft’s high-performance, disk-to-disk CDP server backup software not only enables NYI to back up Window, Linux, and MySQL servers but to create individually customized backup solutions for each client as well.
By incorporating R1Soft’s high-performance CDP backup software, NYI offers clients enterprise-class data backups that can be frequently scheduled and quickly restored using R1Soft’s Bare-Metal Restore technology minimizing downtime in the event of a disaster. Additionally, clients with MySQL databases will also benefit from the flexibility of R1Soft’s True-Granular Restore technology, which enables the restoration of any combination of tables and/or databases to alternate locations.
"This partnership underscores NYI’s commitment to offering the most relevant and comprehensive solutions for their customers," said David Wartell, vice president of R1Soft division, BBS Technologies, Inc.
NYI will employ R1Soft CDP’s highly functional features, including user-access control, particularly the ability to set up multiple administrators. Furthermore, the user-friendly, graphical web-based interface and general ease of administration make R1Soft CDP exceptionally manageable software. Combined with these, the R1Soft Service Provider API completes the extensive feature-set by empowering NYI to customize each CDP offering on a case-by-case basis.
“We were looking for a single, integrated solution that would simplify the backup process for both ourselves and our customers," said Phillip Koblence, VP Operations, NYI. "So far, R1Soft has not only met these criteria but exceeded them in every respect, a benchmark that matches our own core business objective to deploy only flexible, stable, and infinitely customizable solutions. Their API was designed to support scalability and flexibility on the most rigorous enterprise levels.”
