The 2010 Storage Visions Conference had record attendance, up 34% from 2009 with press and analyst registration at 33% of the total attendees. Here are some quotes received from conference participants:
"Storage Visions is a highly targeted conference that provides computing and IT professional a valuable venue to network and keep abreast on the latest in storage trends and technology," said Justin Sykes, director of SSD marketing for Micron Technology.
"Storage Visions was honestly one of the most well put together conferences I have attended both from a technology and networking point of view – Truly a rare combination. All of the panels were incredibly relevant and in some cases eye opening. I loved all the different views people brought to the table regarding the direction of the industry," said Scott Holewinski, Director of Research and Development, Gillware Inc.
"The panelists and speakers were focused and very informative. My favorite presentation was James Gemmell’s ‘Total Recall and Total Storage.’ That was a fantastic presentation that showed the relationship of data with storage in a very practical way; as an audience we all know that video and music data is claiming GB‚s and TB‚s worth of data, yet James‚ presentation showed how massive amounts of data could be consumed with e-Diaries and the meta-data to describe it," said Sean Berry, Sr. Data Recovery Engineer, Kroll Ontrack.
