EZQuest Introduces FC RAID Cinema SAN
And Studio Series disk array with eSATA connectivity

Both product lines meet the performance, expandability and redundancy standards creative content professionals need for an all-digital workflow.
Cinema SAN
The Cinema SAN comes in a 12 and 16 bay, hot swappable, 2 and 3U rack-mountable form factor, with up to 32TB of storage in a single unit, up to eight 8Gb/s Fibre Channel host ports (on Dual Controller Model) with the capability to deliver as high as 2,588MB/s read and 1,218MB/s write back transfer rates. Speed is never a problem and it will support 3D (stereoscope), digital intermediates, multi-stream SD, HD, 2K and even 4k film and video environments on Mac, PC, Linux and VMware platforms. The Cinema SAN is expandable to more than 200TB of storage through expansion units. It comes standard with 2GB SDRAM cache memory as well as a built in battery back up unit (BBU) that automatically supplies power to write cached data into flash module for permanent retention in case of an unscheduled power outage. The Cinema SAN ships with built in RAID 0, 1 (0+1), 3, 5, 6, 19, 30, 50, 60 that is user configured with EZQuest’s GUI RAID utility and offers Email, Fax, LAN broadcast, SNMP, SMS, MSN messenger support notification.
The Studio Series comes in 3 bay (Studio III) or 5 bay (Studio V) hot swappable desktop models or a 4 bay (Studio IV) 1U hot swappable rack-mountable model. Each unit is designed to economically deliver lightning fast transfer rates in a RAID 5 of 245MB/s read and 225MB/s write for the Studio III & V and 253MB/s read and 230MB/s write for the Studio IV, suitable for most editing environments. Utilizing the latest eSATA technology, the Studio Series can be set up in RAID 0, 1 , 3, 5, 10, JBOD, Large and Clone configurations and is perfect for D.I.T.’s, documentary, full feature, short film makers, and all creative media projects that require complete data protection. The units offer easy set up with a built in RAID rotary switch (built-in LDC on the Studio V) or can be configured utilizing EZQuest’s graphic user interface (GUI) and offers Email, Fax and SNMP support notification.
