  • Worldwide Channel Growth: ExaGrid added to its global base of channel partners and now has more than 350 reseller partners, including partners with national reach such as CDW, PC Connection, PC
Mall and Zones, as well as a growing number of regional value-added
resellers. ExaGrid continues to successfully scale its global channel
    sales model.
  • Industry Recognition and Leadership: During the quarter ExaGrid’s disk backup with deduplication appliance was named the Backup and Disaster Recovery Hardware ‘Product of the Year’ by Storage Magazine. Winners were determined by ratings on six key criteria: innovation, performance, easy integration into existing environments, ease of use and manageability, as well as robust functionality and high value to end-users. As one of the judges put it, “ExaGrid remains one of the few vendors thinking about how a system grows with the customer. Kudos on taking it to the next level.”
  • Product Enhancements: ExaGrid announced the validated integration of its disk backup with deduplication appliance with Symantec NetBackup 7 and Backup Exec 2010 via the Symantec OpenStorage Technology (OST) program. The enhanced integration between ExaGrid and Backup Exec/NetBackup offers joint customers a faster and more easily managed solution for disk backup with data deduplication. With the announcement, ExaGrid was the first and only disk-backup appliance vendor to achieve both basic and optimized duplication (replication) qualification for both Backup Exec 2010 and NetBackup 7.

With our record performance in Q1, ExaGrid has now achieved 11 consecutive growth quarters,” said Bill Andrews, president and CEO of ExaGrid Systems. “Despite economic conditions that remained challenging, ExaGrid’s award-winning product, best-in-class performance and scalability, and price leadership, enabled our global sales to mid-market/small enterprise companies to increase significantly in Q1. Our prominence in the global market for disk backup appliances that use data deduplication technology continues to grow.”
